We held our own Oscar's/MTV awards at the Manila Yatch Club last December 2nd. Peoople came with their themed get-ups and 'do and everyone was having a really good time. Recognitions were also given away to the deserving employees for the past quarter.. *clap clap*
I came as a Texan cowgirl/country singer. Hahaha kamusta naman yon! At least yun na din costume ko sa Christmas carol competition.
And WE WON!!!! After weeks of vocalization and reading notes and after-work practices, finally we sounded like we're a real choir! :D Beacon of Hope, they called us. :) Thanks to Dani for helping us out. It really was difficult task for him since not all of us are choir singers and he also has a lot of other rehearsals to go to. But with his dedication and passion, not to mention his belief in us, we won 1st place! Dani is Indonesian and is a music instructor by profession though he's still studying music. He impressed us with his fluency in English and Tagalog--which I later found out, he had to learn in the span of 3 months for one of his subjects. Really big thanks to you Dani! Korean restaurant ulet tayoooo!
You should have seen our performance. It was a knock-out! Diverse culture singing together in praise to our Lord Jesus. We had Indonesians, Koreans and Chinese aside from us Pinoys. The diversity was more elaborated by the costumes. And guess what, they all even sang a Tagalog song and they got it perfectly in just 3 weeks! :)
The glory indeed was to Jesus alone and we are all so happy that He was lifted up that night.
I wanted to invite the group to SBC sana to sing. Hehe wala lang, parang part of our Christmas service. Wala lang special number lang. Watchatink?
